PTE: EMMANUEL, JONAH

Parents: John, a Coal Miner Hewer, age 36 and Sarah Ann Emmanuel age 35. Sons: Jonah, age 9 and Gwilym, age 7. They lived at 6 Sullivan row, Cockett, Swansea. All of them were born in Swansea, Wales, and only spoke Welsh.1

 Parents: John, a Coal Miner Hewer, age 46 and Sarah A. Emmanuel, married 21 years, they had 8 children, but only 3 childen still living.  Son: Jonah, a Baker Sales Man, age 18 and single. Daughter: Janet, age 8.  They lived at Bryn Y Briall, Middle Road, Cwmbwrla, Swansea. They all spoke Welsh and English.2

Joined the Training Reserves, Service No. 3655 and South Wales Boarders, Service No. 44554.3

Married to a Morris in the 2 quarter of 1915 in Swansea.4

FFORESTFACH MAN FALLS.
Mrs. Emanuanuel,Bowen’s terrace, Fforestfach, has received an official communication to the effect that her husband, Pte. Jonah Emanuel had fallen in action on the western front. Prior to joining the colours Pte. Emanuel was employed at the local Co-operative Stores. He leaves a widow.7
