Gwilym Price, born about 1899 in Abercynon, Glamorgan. 
Parents: John, a Colliery Enginer Driver (stationary), age 32 and Alice Price age 29. Sons: Henry J. age 8 and Gwilym A. age 2. Both parents spoke Welsh and English, Henry spoke English. They lived at 9 Thorn Row, Abercynon, Glamorgan.1

Parent: (Head & Wife) Alice Price age 38, married 19 years, 7 children with 3 still alive. Sons, Henry age 18, single, Colliery Engine Driver (below ground), Gwilym age 12, at school and Trevor age 6 at school. They all spoke Welsh and English, except Trevor who only spoke English. Alice and Henry were born in Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, Gwilym and Trevor were born in Abercynon, Glamorgan. They lived at 20, The Avenue, Tonyrefail, Glamorgan.2

Joined with South Wales Border (Cheshire Regiment), service number (30126) at Swansea on 16th May 1917.  Address, 3 Cadle Terrace, Ravenhill, Swansea. Age 18 years and 4 months. Trade, Engine Driver and single.  Height: 5 feet 4½ inches. Chest measurements: fully expanded, 36 inches including 3 inches of expansion. Later joined the Cheshire Regiment 9th Battalion, service number (53270), Infantry Base Depot.  Died age 19, 12th April 1918 of wounds, Grave reference I. A. 14., Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Nord, France.3, 4, & 5 & 6

“Mr. and Mrs. Price, 3 Cadle terrace, Ravenhill, have received an official communication to the effect that their son, Lce. Cpl. Gwilym Price, died of wounds at a casualty clearing station”7
